Clube de Investimentos Futuro Legal
In early 2005, DEC INVESTIMENTOS and INTRA CORRETORA launched a social inclusion program for education by means of the stock markets. The initiative - the first of its kind in Brazil - resulted in the establishment of Clube de Investimentos Intra Dec – Futuro Legal, registered with BOVESPA on May 3, 2005, under number 3456. As of June 30, the Club had 176 members and assets totaling R$ 942 k.
1) Target Group For The Club:
- Children and youth of low income families.
2) Objectives:
- Encourage and guide parents to plan their children’s future.
- Make children feel part of their community and increase their citizenship awareness.
- Teach children how to save.
- Allow children and youth to become “shareholders” of first class companies traded in BOVESPA.
- Contribute, as engaged companies (DEC INVESTIMENTOS and INTRA CORRETORA) to Brazil’s sustainable development. The funds shall be allocated towards improvement of education of young citizens.
3) How It Operates:
- DEC INVESTIMENTOS chooses the stocks and other investments into which the savings of the members (low income children or youth) will be invested.
- INTRA CORRETORA will effect all purchasing of selected stocks and make all other investments selected. It will also be responsible for the administration of the club as well as for issuing reports and statements, receiving investments, carrying out redemptions, etc.
- The club is open to children and youth from low income families who are under 15 years of age.
- Members may remain in the club until 25 years of age.
- Minimum investment and redemption amount: R$ 20.00.
- The funds (money) invested by members (children and youth from low income families) may be redeemed at any time. Nevertheless, donated quotas can only be redeemed after members reach 18 years of age.
- Donation: DEC INVESTIMENTOS will match the monthly contribution of each member up to R$ 50.00 per month. There is no limit on the amount of monthly investment made by members. Benefactors, relatives and friends can also contribute on the child’s or youth’s behalf.
